Semesters are twelve weeks long. The Studio is located at 312 West 36th Street # 603

ACTING FOR ADULTS is a class is for the serious actor. It is a place for you to develop a technique that works for you. That means, through the many tools that will be introduced to you, you need to discover a method of working that is successful.

A goal of this class will be for you to obtain an understanding of script and character analysis, so you will make appropriate choices for the character that supports the author’s intent, and that will enable you to meet the demands of the role.

• You will work on a variety of exercises and texts that will enable you to strengthen your emotional availability and widen your understanding of the externals of a character.
• You will work on the practicalities of auditioning, both for the cold read audition and the prepared monologue audition.

ADVANCED ACTING FOR ADULTS is a class for the actor who is pursuing a professional career. It is designed for students who have previously studied at Donna Marrazzo Studio, or those who have had serious training in the past and are invited into the class after an interview and or audition process.

This class will focus on intense script and character analysis. You may expect to explore a variety of characters and styles of text in order to expand your range and cast ability. Through this intense training you will learn to calm your inner critic and work on a level of trust and instinct, so your personal magic as an actor may flourish.

• You will work every class. This is not a Studio where you can sit back and watch. You must come prepared each and every week.
• This training can be applied when working in any medium; film, television or theatre.

Private Coaching Available
Donna has a limited number of weekly time slots available for private coaching. This type of training is ideal for audition preparation, career counseling, or intense technique work. The time spent together will be structured to meet your needs.
